Modern Warfare 3

I gave in.
Truth be told though, I'm not a BIG Modern Warfare 3 fanboy, nor am I biased in the opinions or arguments for it. However, I absolutely hate biased opinions.“Battlefield 3 is so much better than Modern Warfare 3 and always will be.”
People are entitled to their opinions, but don’t be scrupulous about it. People enjoy apples, as others enjoy oranges. The comparison of “campers” and “newb-tubers” is just childish because no matter how much you detest against it, there’s always going to be those who play that way, and that’s just their gaming style.

Granted, I for one am like the folks who dislike them as well; being blown up every few seconds, unable to run through a hallways or even an open field with snipers at every corner. Yes, it is frustrating. But you knew what you were signing up for, so bitching about it won’t do anything. Think about it this way; if you’re a good player, wouldn’t you be able to find them and take the enemy out without a problem?

Another juxtaposition that I find ruthlessly appalling is how the game is the same. Obviously. But riddle me this too, BF3 fans. What’s different about BF:BC to BF3?

Remember, people have different taste in gaming. For me, I enjoy Pokemon over Digimon, PC over Mac, Android over iOS. But I’m not going around preaching to everyone and judging their opinions like a pure asshole.

Future Model Kits

In the time I've been away from Blogger, I haven't found the time to actually create a model kit, let alone getting one for review.
If you want to see my latest uploads of (nearly) all my kits, feel free to check it out!

Stanford Crepe

Strawberry, banana, chocolate and Nutella wrapped in a soft crepe, lined with Nutella and served with a side of ice cream and whip cream

It was about four (or five?) days ago that my girlfriend, my friend Deven and I went to a delicious crepe and cafe shop called 'Crepevine' located in Palo Alto, CA for a night out of sweet and enjoyable desserts. We had seen this place previously since we had gone to the Cheesecake Factory which was conveniently next door a while back. So we decided one day to try this place out and to my surprise, it's definitely enjoyable.

A crepe costs approximately $7.00 (rounded) of any order, and they can be customized. I preferably enjoy crepes with just the wrap and ice cream, sometimes with a little strawberry. However, I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would. Reason is because I had crepes at a place in Japantown; San Francisco that is by far the BEST crepes int he Bay Area and worth the price (approx. $3.50 for crepe and ice cream only).

But overall, if you're craving for delicious dessert before you hit the hay, this is the place to go! And if you're not in the mood for crepes, there is always the Cheesecake Factory right next door to satisfy that sweet tooth of yours!

MG Shenlong XXXG-01S EW

MG Shenlong XXXG-01S EW
This is definitely one of the best kits I have every completed in my lifetime. I’m just going to leave the review explain everything.

Pros:

  • Where can I start? - This is just amazing; the joints are tight, every part is solid and the whole experience was just utilizing to me. I can surely say this is a must-get for the Endless Waltz series.
  • Weapons - The hands have a designed spoke that allows weapons to be easily placed within the palm, having the weapons molded with a groove to stay in place. This particular kit has a great grip to the weapons with full mobility. The Dragon Fang is just amazing to look at.
  • Dragon Fang - I can honestly say I wanted this model for this particular weapon/shield. Not only is it unique, but amazing to look at.

Cons:

  • Round Shield - A little large, so it becomes a little annoying to move around. But it’s not much of an issue since it stays put and does what it needs to do.
  • Dragon Fang - The attachment that is need to be placed on the forearm is a little loose. But this too, isn’t an issue since it can be easily fix with some lightly
    placed modeling glue or putty.

When I was only half way done.

Finishing up; had to build the Dragon Fang.

As you can see, there isn’t much to the cons. I try to give each and every review a full and unbiased opinion and I can truthfully say, this Gundam was well worth the time. I spent about approximately 8 hours on it; scalping the gates so the pieces look clean and making sure each and every armor was places correctly and looked even (I’m kind of OCD that way).

Thanks for reading, and be sure to check out my other reviews in the #gunpla tags!

I want to give a special thanks to my friend Curtis for getting me this in the Taiwan Gundam Expo 2011 for my birthday. And thank you for the handout and fan that was given at the expo!

The Delta Plus Porcelain Custom - Jet Mode.

I have yet to review this in transformation, so I guess this is good time as any.
The transformation was horrid. I can't tell you how much of an effort this took. The manual tells to fold certain flaps, move other gauges, lift some latch, and it goes on. But the directions were awful. It's like they gave up giving instructions one at a time once the kit was done completely.
Anyways, here's what I got out of the whole experience.

Pros:

  • Beautifully done - This model is definitely spot on to the one in the series even in transformation.
  • The look - Obviously, sexy as hell.
  • Mobility - Stunning; absolutely stunning. I can't fathom how great this kit is. It's a must-get for any UC or just Gundam fan.
Cons:

  • Transformation - As I mentioned before, it was an utter pain trying to set this guy together. It was the instructions that confused me to fold certain areas before others but it was not given (not because of the text, but because given arrows were not numbered).
  • Weight - I had to tighten the screw on the platform to keep this guy stable and up. I'm surprised it hasn't tipped over yet.
  • Finicky - Definitely has some gimmicks that may annoy anyone. So pieces won't slide into certain places where they need to be places, as for others just keep doing it without the need to.

Overall, a great kit. If you love any MS that are able to transform, get this kit NOW. Remember, this is a variation from the MSN-00100 Hyaku Shiki (yes, the beautiful gold Gundam!). This is also the concept that lead to the design of the MSN-001 Delta Gundam.

Thanks for reading and be ready for more in the future~!

The Gundam Delta Plus (MSN-001A1) Porcelain Custom

Also known as the The Delta Plus Project.

For those who have seen the current model, it is about 80% complete, leaving the wings and back plates to be completed. Here are the pros and cons about the model as of now.

Pros:

  • HIGHLY DETAILED - From skeleton to frame, this suit is just amazing. Great building experience and great if you got the patience.
  • Large - It’s definitely a big Gundam, even for a MG. The legs in my opinion are a little big, but with a fully functional gear when the feet and legs are moved up and down.
  • Movement - It does have its restraints, but every model has them, right? The legs get nearly 90 degrees in angle. Arms get approx. 180 degrees. Pretty amazing for posing, IMO.
  • Color - Since it’s in a grayish navy-blue, the color is easy to coat. Since mine is in white, I hope to see this in other colors by other enthusiasts!

Cons:

  • Price - It’s definitely pricey, even if bought here in the U.S. Despite the amazing look for this suit, you may want to wait for a sale somewhere online such as gundamstoreandmore.com or tatsuhobby.com
  • Feet - The feet mechanism (slide-back for transformation purposes) is a little weak. You have need a stand to keep it in place for poses or even just to stand.
  • Frame (Armor) - Some of the pieces are weak. This is a go-figure since other Gundam’s are the same. So be careful when cleaning off the gates that may still be on some of the frames.

Overall, this is one of the SEXIEST models out there. I do recommend getting it, despite the price for a MG. If you do plan on customizing a model soon as well, this is a must-get.

Prepping the pieces and runners; getting ready to get this kit finished.

I think this will be my last and final spray-paint kit custom; it definitely took too much of my time and money. But I'm satisfied with this. I'll be working on new kits soon. The Genoace Custom looks like my next project. Until next time!
